Meet & Great kicks off in force
Youghal was buzzing last Saturday as four busloads of visitors from a liner docked in Cobh descended on the town. Having cruised from Florida to Cobh (via the Azores) Youghal was the first stop for the visitors who arrived on Irish soil on Saturday morning before heading directly to the East Cork town. The Youghal4All community Ambassadors were on hand to meet the visitors. The volunteer community ambassadors have spent the winter brushing up on their “Youghal” knowledge through a series of seminars organised by Norman McDonald of Youghal4All (formerly Youghal Concerned Citizens). These ambassadors welcomed the group, distributed some information on the town and answered any questions the guests had. John Cunningham played a few tunes on Barry’s lane to add to the atmosphere and Luigi provided a taste of Youghal by giving traditional scones to the guests.

Many more clean ups are planned shortly so watch out for the notice here or on facebook and twitter. Remember to like our page for updating.
